Start with the candidate journey

Open the application exactly as a candidate would. The role title, location, schedule, requirements, pay information where applicable, and application action should be easy to find on a phone. Avoid sending candidates to a broad careers homepage that makes them search again.

Check whether the ATS requires an account, resume upload, or long form. A QR code removes typing from the first step, but it cannot fix a difficult application after the redirect.

Clicks are not applications

Compare link activity with completed applications in the ATS. If a placement attracts visits but few applications, review the role description, form length, mobile experience, required account, or mismatch between the poster and job page.
